Did you know?

Santa Ponsa is a popular tourist destination in the southwest of Mallorca, known for its large sandy beach and vibrant atmosphere. It offers a wide variety of restaurants, shops, and leisure activities.

A southwest resort with three Blue Flag beaches

Santa Ponsa sits halfway between Palma and Andratx on the southwest coast, built around a wide sandy bay and a marina that has grown into one of the smartest on the island. The Cross of Conquest on the headland marks the spot where King Jaume I landed in 1229 to retake Mallorca from the Moors — a piece of history that still anchors the town's annual fiestas in early September. The transfer from Palma Airport takes about 35 minutes.

What to do once you arrive

Three Blue Flag beaches sit within a short walk of one another: the main Platja Gran, plus the smaller Cala Esmeralda and the family-friendly Platja de Ses Penyes Roges. The marina at Port Adriano (a 10-minute drive) is one of the few spots on the island regularly hosting super-yachts and a great place for sunset dinner. Two championship golf courses — Santa Ponsa I and II — are minutes inland.

Booking your transfer

Santa Ponsa is a 35-minute drive on the Ma-1 motorway, easy in any season but congested at peak summer arrivals. A Janer-Bus private transfer goes door-to-door for a fixed price, with vehicles for any group size and child seats free on request.
