Did you know?

Port de Sóller is a picturesque natural harbor on the northwest coast of Mallorca, surrounded by mountains and connected to the town of Sóller by its historic tram

A horseshoe bay framed by mountains

Port de Sóller is a near-perfect horseshoe bay on Mallorca's northwest coast, with the Tramuntana mountains rising directly behind it. The town is connected to inland Sóller by the open-sided wooden tram that has run since 1913 — one of the most photographed rides on the island. The transfer from Palma Airport takes about 40 minutes by private car.

What to do once you arrive

Walk out along the breakwater to the Far des Cap Gros lighthouse — about 30 minutes each way, with views back over the entire bay. Boat trips leave the harbour for Sa Calobra and the dramatic Torrent de Pareis gorge, one of Mallorca's signature excursions. The bay's water is calm and ideal for kayaking and paddleboarding, and the tram is a 30-minute ride to inland Sóller and the Saturday market.

Booking your transfer

The mountain road to Port de Sóller goes through the Coll de Sóller tunnel — straightforward, but the public bus takes a much longer route via Palma. A Janer-Bus private transfer goes door-to-door for a fixed price, with child seats on request and live flight tracking.

Got questions?

We're here to help you!

We default to the Coll de Sóller tunnel for speed (about 40 minutes from the airport). On request we can take the older Coll de Sóller pass — scenic but adds about 25 minutes. Mention it in the booking notes.
