Playa de Palma is one of Mallorca’s largest and liveliest beaches, with golden sand and crystal-clear waters. Along its seafront promenade, you’ll find numerous bars, restaurants, and leisure options.
Playa de Palma is the closest beach destination to Palma Airport — a private transfer takes around five minutes. The beach itself runs uninterrupted for six kilometres, divided into 15 "balnearios" (numbered beach kiosks) that have given different sections of the resort their nicknames. The water is shallow, the sand is fine, and the Pine Walk promenade runs the full length, lined with cafés, ice-cream stops and bike-rental kiosks.
The S'Arenal end (balnearios 5–9) is busier and more party-oriented; the Ca'n Pastilla end (balnearios 12–15) is quieter and better for families. Aqualand, one of the largest water parks in Europe, sits a few minutes inland. Palma's old town is a 15-minute drive — easy for an evening out at La Lonja or Santa Catalina.
Even on such a short transfer, queues at the airport taxi rank can stretch beyond 30 minutes in summer. A pre-booked Janer-Bus private transfer means a driver waits in arrivals with a sign, helps with luggage, and takes you directly to your hotel for a fixed price — often quicker than the taxi queue, and easier with kids and bags.
