Cala Bona is a peaceful holiday destination located on the east coast of Mallorca. It is known for its charming fishing port and promenade, its quiet beaches, and relaxed atmosphere.
Cala Bona is a quieter, more village-feeling neighbour to busy Cala Millor — a small working fishing harbour at the northern end of the same long bay, with a low-rise resort built behind it. The seafront promenade links the two in a 15-minute walk, so you can stay in Cala Bona for the calm and use Cala Millor for the larger restaurant and shopping selection. The transfer from Palma Airport takes about 55 minutes.
Three small sandy coves sit between the harbour and Cala Millor, all backed by the promenade. The Punta de n'Amer Natural Reserve is at the southern end of the bay — pine forest, cliff paths and a 17th-century watchtower with cliff views over both bays. Boat trips leave the harbour daily, and the medieval town of Artà is a 15-minute drive inland for a half-day trip.
Cala Bona is at the end of one of Mallorca's longer transfers, on the Ma-15 via Manacor. Public buses involve a change there and run less often in the evening. A Janer-Bus private transfer goes door-to-door for a fixed price, with vehicles up to 16 seats, child seats on request and live flight tracking — useful for late landings.
